I discovered about WEBTOON last 2017 and I have been reading different series from here, from romance to comedy and thriller to suspense. Here are some of my favorites released in 2020. This is the second part of the blog with 11 WEBTOONS in the list. To read the first part click here. The list is in no particular order.

GremoryLand
by A. Rasen
Episodes: 67 (Season 3 fianale)
Release Date: February 8, 2020
Genre: Horror
Status: Ongoing
Others: No Daily Pass / No Fast Pass
The first season of this Webtoon is very interesting. It was released almost at the same time as the Escape Room. First we get to meet six friends who arrives in GremoryLand. Things started off slow at first but once the introduction has finished and the action kicks off, the horror begins!
The mystery never ends! Season 1-2 was very interesting but when it came to Season 3 it is a bit slow-paced and some of the chapters are short (in general) but it makes up to it by the amazing art style of the story.
Death of a Popstar
by Violet Karim
Episodes: 42
Release Date: October 17, 2020
Genre: Romance
Status: Ongoing
Others: 3 Fast Pass available
I discovered this one because I am following the artist's first story called Familiar Feelings. I liked it better than the reboot she did. And then it all got erased again. And then she focused on this one because it hit the shelves and got a lot of love. But honestly I am still waiting for the first version of Familiar Feelings that I read.
Anyways about this webtoon, the scenes were fast and it's straight to the point. Obviously the main character wants to be a pop star but she died, so here comes the twist where she meets her grim reaper in armor.
Lone
by Mel0h
Episodes: 53 (Season 2 just started)
Release Date: March 14, 2020
Genre: Fantasy
Status: Ongoing
Others: 3 Fast Pass available
One of the series that I binge-read. I finished season 1 weeks before Season 2 was released and I am glad I did not have to wait much. Not all of the characters are lovable or noticeable but Lone herself is already a pretty good character to me, she has purpose and she becomes a powerful young woman as we were spoiled in the first scene. This has potential and definitely worth the read!
Mom I'm Sorry
by MiTi / GUGU
Episodes: 57
Release Date: June 12, 2020
Genre: Drama
Status: Ongoing
Others: 5 Fast Pass available
I've been following this series since I saw it came out. The title was catchy and the premise episode was also very appealing. I like how it hooked me with the first 4 episodes I've read so now, even if things has gone slow and serious, I still like reading it. The love story, the love triangle, it's so hard to ship here because Olivia is not exactly... young. This is very unique and there is a story to follow. The character development is also really nice to see here. Mostly though we will be focused on the mother and son, Olivia and Henry.
Swimming Lessons for a Mermaid
by YONGCHAN
Episodes: 71
Release Date: March 4, 2020
Genre: Romance
Status: Ongoing
Others: 5 Fast Pass available
I read this along with I'm Sorry Mom. This is like anime but Korean. The story centers on Choa, the mermaid who can't swim and her love triangle with Soo and Woo. I know it's romance and I am not a big fan of the genre but I love the characters and the comedy in this series! Most readers would be thrilled when Choa and Soo hang out or when she and Woo have some time alone, but I am more of into the comedic part of the series and of course Chan and Icelyn's scenes.
This is worth the read. It's not slow-paced of overstretched like the other stories out there. What happens if Choa finally learns how to swim, will she go back to the ocean?
Love Me Knot
by Sophia
Episodes: 42
Release Date: September 16, 2020
Genre: Romance
Status: Ongoing
Others: 2 Fast Pass available
This has a unique art style much like GremoryLand. So people have red threads that links them to their soul mate and now we all know it's romance. I haven't gone far with this series but the first couple of chapters were good enough to make me subscribe and read through it. I think it's worth giving a shot too.
City of Blank
by 66
Episodes: 66 (Season 2 Finale)
Release Date: February 27, 2020
Genre: Sci-Fi
Status: Ongoing
Others: None
There is an interesting concept about Blanks and the twist about our main protagonist. There is a very strong Fairy Tail vibe going on between our MC and the girl he met on his arrival to the city. It started out really interesting, we get to see fight scenes and learn about the Blanks (the faceless ones). But as it went on, it was not very appealing. There was so much explanation going on and so much talk but never answers. I guess the goal is to leave everything as mysterious as possible, but everything just suddenly don't make sense anymore. I stick around for Bag Girl because she's a cinnamon roll and she needs a hug.
Give it a shot though! You might like this one.
Pixie and Brutus
by Pet Foolery
Episodes: 95
Release Date: July 10, 2020
Genre: Comedy
Status: Ongoing
Others: No Fast Pass
Cute! Cute! Cute! This series is nothing but cuteness! Follow the life of Pixie and Brutus and their friends in this very cute little webtoon! The author also posts in their Instagram accounts that are not available in the Webtoon or is advanced before posted in the Webtoon. There is not much to say here. It's a good laugh when you read this or you can go all "Awww". If you enjoy reading Boyfriend of the Dead or ZomCom then you will definitely enjoy this one.
AntiSTALKER
by VOKIVORMOK
Episodes: 52 (Season 1 Finale)
Release Date: June 18, 2020
Genre: Romance
Status: Ongoing
Others: No Fast Pass
Humans, werewolves, vampires in one school? This is going to be chaotic. At some point, some characters are similar to Boruto's cast. But it could just be me.
August is OP. But because he is an adorable stalker, I will let that slide. August is stalking his childhood friend and crush, Kira. There is a lot of trolling and a lot of jokes going on in this series. But passed all the comedy and sweet romance, there is actually a darker backstory that we have to stick around to find out more. Because August does not want us to know, but we'll push Kira to recover those lost memories.
CinnamonRoll
by RE ME
Episodes: 37 (Season 1 Finale)
Release Date: September 12, 2020
Genre: Romance
Status: Ongoing
Others: No Fast Pass
It has been a while since I last read this series so I don't remember much what it is about. Except that is romance lol. It's short and you can definitely binge-read this one. I am probably the only person who is recommending a series she's read and forgot what it's about.
KILL MAX
by Kennycomics (Paul Jun) / SilentMaru
Episodes: 27 (Season Finale)
Release Date: August 21, 2020
Genre: Supernatural
Status: Will Return
Others: No Fast Pass
I got attracted by the cover and the cool art style but for the story, I am not very into it yet. Although I am still reading it. Again I forgot what it's about. But as far as my memory serves me, it's about Max. Who is like, a most wanted of some sort and people are hunting her. Yeah I think Max is a her, not sure. Oh well, it's in the list so you better check it out!
Magic Soda Pop
by Raul Trevino
Episodes: 49
Release Date: April 7, 2020
Genre: Supernatural
Status: Finished
Others: It's not Daily Pass required thank goodness
The series had already ended and I would say that I am satisfied with the ending. The story centers on three young girls wherein our main MC saw one of her classmates drinking a soda who had immensely improved her performance in swimming class. So you can guess she gets her hand on the source of this soda, goes to the website, and orders it for herself. But did you really think that there won't be any side effects with drinking these sodas?
The characters are fleshed out properly and they all had their own motives to be pushed into drinking the soda. True friendship right here. It's short and you can read it in one or two days tops.
Let me know your thoughts of these webtoons!
